I ran across Robin on http://www.ifreelance.com/ while I was looking for an artist to draw a unique book cover for my book ‘The Rise and fall of Satan the Accuser’. Although most of Robins work was for children’s books I did found a sample picture she had did that was similar to the image I wanted for my book.

After contacting her we agreed on price and what needed to be done to the existing picture and she was was off to work. She worked quickly, I lot quicker than I would have. She made adjustments and sent me sample after sample. I provided ideas and she provided ideas until we came up with my desired outcome, even then I had several different versions to choose from.

Robin was very easy to work with and very supportive of my ideas. She was a true blessing to the finished product of the book. To see more of Robins work, go to http://robinguineyillustrator.com/

Tammy Ratzken (painter), by Keith Ratzken

It is not often I can showcase Tammy in our newsletter, but I wanted to share with you some of the magnificent things that she has been doing throughout the year. She is certainly a wonderful bride and I am blessed beyond measure to have her by my side in everything I do, and I am also joyfully by her side; together we are one in Him.

After 18 years of marriage I must say that I am just as captivated by her as the day we met, actually more so. This woman of God has sacrificed so much behind the scenes in order to do what is most profitable. Along with leading the charge in homeschooling our daughter Ashly, Tammy has helped many others by allowing them to live in our home! She took in our niece and homeschooled her for a year, took care of a little boy who the doctors said would have learning disabilities (with prayer, love and patience he turned out just fine) for a couple of years, and has helped care for Jasmine our great niece, and many other things, all at the expense of her passion; art. With no regrets as to where she could have been, Tammy is still giving of herself as the Lord stirs her heart in other areas.

I want to boast that 2010 has been a year of breaking out for Tammy! With Ashly grown, and no other duties currently pulling her, Tammy has been able to not only focus on her art work, but has also found a passion for writing children’s books. Now “Grace Comes to Tizzy Town”, her first story, is being prepared for publication and three of her art pieces are available as prints. I am so proud of her.

The Lord had spoken to her a few years ago to preach with her paintbrush and we are both excited to see all the things He will do through her. She is certainly a woman faithful to the word of the Lord over her life. She has other paintings that are still in the works, for those of you who haven’t yet seen any of them I want to give you a sneak peak.

If you would would like to comment on Tammys painting or purchase one of her prints visit http://www.tammyratzken.blogspot.com/

Keith is part of the IHOP full time prayer ministry.
