The Mantle of Elijah and the Mantle of Jesus

Most every one knows or has at least heard the story of Elijah, Elisha and the double anointing. I'll give a brief summery of the only parts needed to help bring understanding to this hub.

Elisha was touched purposely by Elijah with is mantle early on in the story of their relationship. Elisha was plowing with a team of oxen, Elijah came by and flung at least momentarily his mantle across Elisha. (1Kings 19:19) Elisha got so excited by this act that he sacrificed the oxen, told his mom and dad he was leaving and hit the road with Elijah. I think it even kinda shocked Elijah for he was continually saying ‘what have I to do with you?', but non the less he allowed the youth to follow and serve him.

Their travels went many places before the event of which every one, especially the prophets seemed to know in advance about Elijah being caught up to heaven.

Along their journeys Elijah would ask the 'What do you want?' sense he could not get rid of Elisha. To this Elisha would respond 'I want a double portion of the anointing that’s on you'. Elijah responds 'If you see me when I go up, then you can have your request'. Wow, no way I'm leaving your side now! was the response of Elisha's heart.

A good point here is to understand that Elisha was not asking for twice as much as Elijah had. He was asking for the elder sons portion. It was Jewish custom to divide the inheritance 2/3 to the oldest son and 1/3 to the younger. But starting with 2/3 of the family wealth could be increased to way much over twice the amount. He was not asking for an amount, but an inheritance that was worth more because it implied a promise of a greater sort.

So the place of this event was at the Jordon river. Both men had just crossed over on dry land to the opposite side of the river from the city of Jericho.

2Ki 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Oh WOW! Elisha got to see it. This was probably the same manifestation that Ezekiel and Apostle John saw and recorded. Ezekiel commented about the wheels and the living creatures having lightning flashes going back and forth in them, could be described as a chariot of fire.

2Ki 2:12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

2Ki 2:13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;

2Ki 2:14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

The bible is full of parallels and symbols. They were on the outside of the promised land. Elisha went over to the river Jordon and smote the waters saying where is the God of Elijah, the waters parted and Elisha walked over into the promise of God, the elder son’s anointing.

Its also a unique fact that the other young prophets wanted to go and look for Elijah’s body, to which Elisha knew they would not find it.

And yes a double portion rested on Elisha and he went on to perform at least twice as many miracles as Elijah did.

Discerning the works of a religious spirit

Wow, Its like every time I read a book about religious spirits I see areas in my life where this spirit has influenced me. From thinking I'm more spiritual than others to fearing the life someone else is living before God because I knew I wasn't living in the liberty that I should be.
This book by Dave Viljeon was no exception. Many different ways that a religious spirit are explored in Dave's writings. Freedom from this spirit is nessesary if we desire to walk in the fullness of what God desires.

Understanding of man swept away

This word came March 19,2011, but I realize it had been around for a long time, I just decided to step up to the plate and release it.
The word is alive and quickening, the awakening has begun
More, more, more as the tidal waves of divine understanding crumbles the understanding of man, yes even the so called Christian ones. If God isn’t more, then who is, us? Understanding will be shaken, revelations heightened as principals laid up by man will be swept aside.
More, more, more who possible could have more but the Lord! The walls must fail, He will have His delight.
More, more, more or did you think that, this was it? The Spirit and the Bride say come.
More, more, more A quickening is coming to the sold out ones and a release will change the face of understanding even to a place where the former will not be known.
Swing wide oh ancient doors, and the King of Glory will come in. The earth is in travail, reeling like a drunken man, like a sickened woman laboring for the release of the promise.
More, more, more Time will quicken as the face of manifestation reveals the Lord of Host and His desire is redeemed from bondage

Who's Your Daddy

The Identity you walk in.

Where did you get your identity from? Is the person you act like the person you are supposed to be? Are you a Christian, but don't feel like you act like one? Where did the seed come from that has birthed your actions, fears, loves and hates?

It seems that most guys and girls don't have a clue who they are. Their identity has been controlled by what they have been around. TV commercials, Radio music, Clubs, friends, and even church circles etc.. The little they know of their earthly father, if they know him at all, has left them with a unsure image of what or who they are. Since their earthly fathers didn't know who they were either, we were left to be controlled by what the other influences have told us we are to be, and this has become our 'Identity'

The word of the hour is "Identity" Webster Dictionary says-state of having the same nature or character with: absolute sameness, as opposed to mere similarity.

In other words 'A man is as a man does', or as Forest Gump better put it "stupid is as stupid does" Our actions prove who we think we are'. So who is the father of our character. Why do we act like we do.

Our nature has been controlled by images of what the world says a man should be. Although all the images are not bad. Most images presented have no foundation as to why they exist or where they came from.

So these influences that the world has given us has been the "Father of who we are". So who has been our daddy? Kinda think it ain't been God. There is only one other, Jesus called him 'the Father of Lies' Satan the accuser.

Sort of hard to say and except that the Devil has been our daddy, but its true. Our actions really prove who our father has been. We can no longer say that God is our father when we act like the Devil most of the time.

Maybe we need to put ourselves up for adoption!

So what do we do to become who we are created to be? Divorce the image that the world said you are to be and be joined to another's image!

We have only thus far known one father. But it is time to know or become acquainted with another one. We have heard about him all our life, but have seldom had or took the time to know Him. He is the true Father, yet he is barely known.

How can our 'Identity' be changed into the image of our new Father if we barely know him.

We must yield totally to him and commit our energy to get to know the father, to get to know his fully developed son Jesus, and to get to know His Holy Spirit that he sent to conform us to his son.

The more we get to know him, the more we realize we are not much like him. But because he loves us and misses us, he instead of rejecting us turns toward us and reveals that we were destined to be just like him, or in better words become a son of his nature. So as our shame is exposed he removes it and replaces it with his nature.

Here are a few ways to get to know him:

1. Accept his son and the work he did for you

2. Read your bible daily - it's like a mirror and unveiling of him and his plan for us

3. Pray and give him honor, importance, and freedom to move in every area of your life

4. Get to know Holy Spirit. He is your guilde. He will do the work in you

5. Listen to God honoring music, tapes, CD's etc.. We really are what we eat. Don't give Holy Spirit a lot of extra stuff to have to clean out of you.

6. Pray for others and *** forgive everyone. ***

You know there is more that you can do, but you get the hint.

*Remember it's not about how good you can be, but how much you know your real daddy. Your heavenly Father.

Don't let the Lord say at the end of your life. 'I never knew you', because you never let him touch you with his words and change you. Let him be your Father! Daddy!

When words are important

   I have had a lot of schooling on the words we speak. Things like declaring the truth as God would have it. These include things like confessing your healing, your deliverance. Confessing good relationships, prosperity and so on.
   I have found that when you are in an atmosphere where truth is being taught, it is easy to speak correctly, and it is trully important to do so. During these times, you may feel a little awkward, but you know it is the correct thing to do.
   But the most importany time to be bold, and make prophetic declarations is when your back is against the wall. These are the times when you don't feel it, and your circumstances are screeming at you. Nothing looks like the prophetic declaration that you spoke when things were clearer.
   Usually during these times of trial, your mouth utters the things that it sees and feels. Meaning it agrees with the situation at hand, therefore releasing the power to keep it that way. Or no change in life. You choose to keep the curse by what you say.
   But if you listen to the unction of the Holy one inside of you at this time, you can still speak the truth of what you desire God to do.
   Your words at the time your back is against the wall become a pivot point for the goodness of God to flow to you.
   It seems like it is very important to speak correctly when it is the hardest thing in the world to do!
   But it is at this time your words become a path declared for the Lord. 'Make strait His paths' Don't bring confusion to the spirit world.
   I hear people say 'I don't know what God is doing' refering to their situation. Maybe God is saying 'I don't know what you are doing' He can't bless a plan that you are unclear of. Whats to bless.
   You got His word, let it create direction in you, then speak it into manifestation. He can't fill an unprepared vessel. There is no where to put the blessing.
   Make room for a life changing God!

The Believers Achilles Heel

Very early on in my walk with the Lord after my initial salvation experience, I learnt the need for forgiveness. Forgiveness for myself and the need to continually forgive others. Forgiveness seemed to the crux of the Gospel. It seemed to make this new relationship with our Lord work better. It made the initial sweet experience almost repeat itself over and over.

My reasoning that came with help from the scriptures stated that to continue to experience this forgiveness of God, ‘I must forgive others’. For me not to forgive others would mean that I was unthankful to the Lord for forgiving me. I was very thankful for this new life that I was experiencing, and I did not want to mess it up in any way.

Of course all along the way, as life goes on, opportunities to forgive continued to show itself. Also, if I understand it clearly they will continue to be opportunities to forgive as I walk my life out. Everybody don’t just get perfect just because I forgave a few folks to show my appreciation for being forgiven.

The Lord’s prayer states that we ask the Father to forgive us as we forgive others, not in spite of myjudgmental and unforgiving heart. If we repent or stop judging others, then mercy flows our way, and not before. This is true especially after we received the initial experience of forgiveness.

In the parable of the servant who owed his lord ten thousand talents, the servant begged for and received forgiveness for his debt. He went out and demanded payment from fellow servant who owed him a lot less, even after his fellow servant begged for forgiveness. Of course when news got back to the Lord, the first servant was delivered to the tormentors till he pay all that was due from him. Matthew 18 verses 23-35

Wow, do you realize that the things we have been forgiven from cannot be paid for. Torment or hell can be the only thing that awaits the unforgiver.

The only payment excepted before the Throne is the complete forgiveness of others from a thankful heart. Let them go! Forgive the debt, no matter how your heart tells you that you are being mistreated.

No mercy out, no mercy in. No forgiveness out, no forgiveness in.

Unforgivenss = no power in prayer. Did you know that you are unable to receive when you hold others in judgment or unforgiveness. Mark 11 verses 22-26

These verses promise the rewards of faith, then verses 25 & 26 ends with forgive others so that your heavenly Father will forgive you.

If I cannot keep others in my heart with a clean slate, then I will not have a clean slate before my Father. I will not be able to receive the goodness of God in my life. Death, destruction, failure, inability, shortage, lack, and torment will be my portion till I learn this lesson.

Some thoughts about the Kingdom

  I find there is still a lot of confusion among people concerning the Kingdom of God, or the Kingdom of Heaven.
   Far too many still believe that the Kingdom is the organized church, or organized religion. Some are just satisfied to believe it is the life after death in heaven.
   Kingdom means dominion of a King. If the organized church or religion is the Kingdom of God, then we have a very weak Kingdom, and a weak King.
   These manifestations of church and religion that we have seen thus far are a poor shadow of the true heart of God.
   So the Kingdom must be something greater, more alive, more powerful than what we have experienced thus far on any organized level.
   No doubt, some have tapped into the wisdom and power of this Kingdom, but to say that the Kingdom of God is manifesting in its full power or His full will would be to say that God really doesn't want to change things on earth in a great way.
   That would make it seem like God only wanted us to see that He is God, and maybe He can do anything He wants to, but he really don't want to help His creation a whole lot, or that He really doesn't want to set up a right Kingdom on the earth.
   This certainly can not be true of a loving God. Our understanding about His Kingdom must change. Although His Kingdom is not a physical Kingdom, it is definitely visible as it manifest.

The Door of Repentance

   It would be real bad if there was no way to repent, meta neo, or change ones mind. What if we were forever stuck with the results our thinking has brought in our lives. This would be a place of no mercy, no hope. It would be a way of life you could not change.
   So the ability to repent is a gift from God, an open door to come out from a way of thinking and into a better way of thinking.
   Our way of thinking has led to our actions, which have caused the results in our lives, yes even the results we hate. This is not to say that we caused our thinking to be a certain way, but we must except the fact that we have allowed it to stay that way.
   We are now responsible for the way we think! We can change it!
   Some of the thoughts that lead to bad results in our lives are thoughts like ‘God wants to punish me for all the bad I have done‘, ‘I’m just a bad seed‘, ‘I’ll never be as good as so and so’ , ‘I don’t think I can handle life anymore’ , ‘I’ll never get ahead’ etc.. You could add to this list on and on.
   It is no wonder that John the baptist, and Jesus himself both entered the public scene with the same call "repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand"
   To say this in another way is "Change your thinking, someone who thinks clearer and better is here to rule rightly with mercy and power." Then of course Jesus started demonstrating the new way of thinking by healing all that were sick, and teaching mercy, and forgiveness. He was changing the way we thought about the Fathers heart, and how the Father feels toward us. He was helping us repent. Later He would send Holy Spirit to help us repent.
   Meta Neo is one of the main Greek words that is translated into repent. Meta means to change or transform, such as the metamorphous of the caterpillar into the butterfly. Neo of course is the mind or the thinking.

Change mind. Think differently.

Lucifer, the price of the power of the air

  There is much mystery concerning this ancient creature called Lucifer, Satan, anointed cherub, the devil, Bezebul, the price of the air, fallen angel,and the father of lies. Since he is a created being, then its evident that God created him.
   There is not a whole lot of recorded information concerning his creation or his existence.
    Since the time frame concerning him being cast out of heaven is not recorded, then maybe the act is going on right now!! Maybe this angel's fall from heaven is happening right now!
   Is it possible that Lucifer, Satan, the anointed Cherub is still moving around in the heavens? Maybe the act of his removal was initiated by Jesus and is to be completed by His anointed body of believers, the sons of God.
